Punta Caracol

In a Nutshell

Built over the Caribbean Sea, along a mile-long coral reefed coast, Punta Caracol is constructed using the traditional methods of the archipelago. Each handsomely-crafted cabin has been built upon stilts which support a wooden frame over the water and is covered by a thatch roof – an unforgettable habitat congruent with the native communities of the region. The nine exclusive cabins set over crystal clear waters feature two floors, private terraces, and colonial-style beds. At night, the restaurant’s impressive terrace and thatched roof create the perfect surrounding for a candlelight dinner. Ancient crafty construction techniques are combined with the most advanced alternative energy systems such as solar panels, gas cooling in all refrigerators and freezers, and state-of-the-art aerobic systems for micro-processing and sewage treatment.
